This weekend I attended a jump grids workshop with my dog Squirt. I always learn so much about life during dog training workshops!
Several months ago I had to get a grip on my agility training! I was way too focused on what I couldn’t do and paying too much attention to criticism. I was not having fun! I knew if I continued to feel this way my dog would pick up on it and he would begin to be stressed rather than excited to go to class.

So, I  flipped the script and focused on how far we have come, incremental changes, the strengths in our relationship and how to make our strengths work for us. I tuned out all negativity. As a result, this weekend we were focused, calm, in the zone! Noticed other participants’ anxiety and stress and how it affects performance. Control what you can control! It’s a lot more fun!rock the skills
