As I write this from my back deck in Key West, during a 2 month stay, I look back in awe that I am living the life as I sketched it out in my mind! Almost four years ago now I was in a rigid, stressful, dead end job.I started my life and career coaching practice as a way to continue to grow as a professional. As a seeker of new ideas, new ways of doing, and new ways of being I realized that my situation was stifling. It was time to walk my talk! I have worked hard to develop a strong creative coaching practice as well as an autonomous, flexible lifestyle.
In Stephen Covey\’s \”Seven Habits of Highly Effective People \”, Habit 7 is taking the time to sharpen the saw. To take the time to renew the four dimensions of our nature – physical, spiritual, mental and social/emotional, so we can work almost effortlessly. To do this, we must be proactive and we must do it for ourselves.
Now that things are working for me, so many people say \”You\’re so lucky!\” or \”I wish I was you!\” Time spent envying someone else is time wasted. Living your dream takes planning and courage, but it is possible!
I am just a person with a dream, maybe just like you, who continues to work hard every day sharpening the saw! If you want something enough, you will make it happen.
